Unstuffed Peppers

Serves: 4



  • 1 lb. ground beef (preferably grass fed)

  • 3 large bell peppers, chopped

  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped finely

  • 1 Tbsp Tamari sauce (if soy sensitive, use coconut aminos)

  • 1 ½  Tbsp Cumin

  • 1 Tbsp mineralized salt

  • 2 cups of tomato sauce (preferably organic)

  • Pepper to taste

  • Cooked white basmati or jasmine rice




  1. Brown the ground beef over medium heat

  2. Once the meat is brown, drain off any excess grease and set aside.

  3. Add another tablespoon of olive oil to the pan and add in the peppers, onions and garlic. Cook for 10 minutes until the vegetables are softened and then return the meat back to the pan.

  4. Add in the cumin, salt and pepper, tamari, and the tomato sauce. Stir well to combine and then taste for seasonings.

  5. Let simmer for 15 minutes on low heat, then serve over rice or pasta.
